Pretend to be a Time Traveller Day

Can we play, can we?

(Can we be an eclectic group of adventurers from various / no specific locations, having broken our time machine after seeing a TERRIBLE FUTURE THAT MUST BE PREVENTED?)

ETA: Ideas wot I want to do:

 - collect autographs from people who 'will be' famous
 - see that [famous person] is alive and declare 'there's still time'
 - stand around at tube stations and argue over little things (like escalator ettiquette at this point in history, how to work the Oyster machine)
 - ask people for directions to Times Square

If only I lived in London, I should join you in this in a shot...

Hang on, I thought this was the terrible future that must be prevented?

Ohgod I want to so bad, and have been pondering it since someone else linked me yesterday.

Sadly, that'll be in the middle of my exams (or right before them), so my escapades shall have to be limited to Dundee. :(

(I intend to wear 3D glasses all day, though.)

You sort of are a time traveller to me, since you're 5 hours or so into the future :p

Count me in. They left out "Option 4. Pretend to be a member of the Great Race of Yith"- ie make copious notes on everything, speak in tongues, etc- dress normally, etc.

Hah - that was the first thought that popped into my head upon reading that. ;op

You up for having a stab at constructing the strange machine to transfer our consciousnesses back into those 10' rugose conical bodies then?

we're not supposed to let on too much are we? A big mind-transference machine might be awkward to lug around on the tube.
