*eyes you all*

So have you all bought Making Money, then?

So does that mean none of you will accompany me to the signing on the 13th?

Dudes. Suck.

I tried to convince Andrew to go with you, but it didn't work. :) He's already ordered the book anyway, the punk: Terry Pratchett books are almost perfectly timed to make convenient birthday presents for him, so he'll have to deal with me being more "creative" for the gift this year. :)

I have not bought the book. I have been resisting the temptation because, well, Jennie and I already double up on massive numbers of books and we're both being careful with cash.

OTOH, if I'm in the area, I could probably be tempted to attend. And we know that by 'attend' what I mean is 'spend more than I can afford on books I don't really need'.

OTOH, if it's the 13th, that puts it a year and two weeks after the last one we went to.

I have not bought it as I want the UK version to match all my other UK versions and I'm clearly on the wrong continent for the 13th - of practically any month ever, actually. Bah.

I'm guessing it would be stupid to assume he'd sign the copy I brought when I got paid on Tuesday?

If I had known there was a signing I would have waited! But alas. I am weak.

I've no idea what he does these days but certainly 12 years ago he was more than happy to sign all the books I'd brought along, some of which I'd had for years. Admittedly the queueueueueue was rather small but I don't think there was a person in it with under 3 books of his about their person.

It's generally considered bad manners these days.

Well, I haven't, but I think ... it's a little far ... which is just a bit depressing, really, because I'd love to.

Couldn't everyone just bring the book they've already bought? Or is this against Signing Rules?

Were I not so far away, I'd join you?
28th-Sep-2007 12:52 pm (UTC)
*seconds this* I'd love to come. ;_;

Obviously I can't come to signing (wish I could!) but just thought I'd point out that I've been to one before and he signed copies that I'd bought ages before. Like, the most recent one released and the one before that as well.

Can I just come with and take my already-bought copy?

Is that cheating?

>_> :D?

I have to catch up on the existing books before I buy the new ones! :(

What time is it and where on that day, as I have stuff on then, but might be able to fit it in around it.

One o'clock, Forbidden Planet, Shaftesbury Avenue

I haven't bought it!

I blagged a copy early for review purposes.

Y'know I'm thinking that owning an unsigned copy is actually going to be worth more these days... ;)
28th-Sep-2007 10:10 pm (UTC)
I'm waiting for the paperback...
