An important lesson for us all

The moral of this morning is: Never post unlocked RPS about celebrities who are still living.Because you never know when you'll actually get to shag them, and then you'll have to go through all your fandom activity and friends-lock or delete all the evidence.

 - and that's all of that story you're getting.

Something I what to know, but not so much I'm willing to try: what exactly will happen if I connect to the unsecured computer to computer network Ford has detected in the museum area named Free Public WiFi?

Must not give into curiosity and let malicious hackers at my laptop.

I also have never written RPS in my life.

That I know of.

...Wow okay what. XD.

RPS? I assume it means something to do with Role Play, but I can't fill in the last word.

Real Person Slash.

Ah. Well, that's another acronym I can add to my list. Mind you, can't see me ever using it...

It means it's a WiFi network that doesn't use WEP or stronger encryption, so anyone with a wireless card can use it. It doesn't mean it's unsafe, just that you don't need a password to get online.

If you're online anyway, it's fairly pointless, it's just an access point is all.

Stupid geeky terminology makes it look 'unsecure' is all.

Not a wireless network.

A computer to computer connection.

Called "free public wifi"? Wifi is a computer to computer network, I have learnt this thing very recently (as in, this morning at work when it kept falling down).

Gotta go, office beckons.

More love for you and your awesomeness and putting up with our endless squee and silliness. You rock so hardcore, thank you. :D:D And yes. That is a good lesson to learn, ahahaha. @_@;;;

Also, unsecure public wifi is nothing to be afraid of--that's just how you connect to any public internet. I'm stealing free internet access from the coffee shop down the street from my hotel right now, and got several unsecure connections at airports and hotels along the road on this trip. XD I suppose there may be some security risk, but I think it's just an internet connection spot and nothing to be afraid of.

Erm, now that I've reread the end of your post, yeah, you probably shouldn't try connecting to a computer to computer network named "Free Public WiFi." I misread that at first, thinking it was a wifi hotspot, but it sounds more like it's some assholes trying to fool idiots into connecting to their computer thinking it's a wifi spot X_x;;; ugh.

Also, your directions tonight were marvelous. We got all around London on the tube with no problems at all (to all the sites you listed and more!), and felt rather like locals by the time we were done with everything. :D:D:D Thank you!!!
