crazy turtle lady

This is an interesting problem.

AIM as installed on my desktop has this interesting bug: occasionally it won't let me IM, invite to chat or otherwise contact this one person. I can go into chats and talk there. I can chat with other people, but not one individual.

Odd and irritating, you may think?

The person in question is agoodshinkickin.

Clearly, this version of AIM is highly homophobic. It has examined your past chat logs and determined the relationship between the two of you, and is now going to great lengths to keep you apart in a misguided effort to "cure" you.

... Or maybe not.

Damn, you beat me to it. :(

Thankfully we sidestepped the issue by using my RP AIM for a while. Ahahahahahaha!!!!!

I know AIM has been craptastic lately, so it's probably AIM's fault, but it's worth asking. Have you checked to make sure you didn't accidentally place Bing on your blocklist? I've nearly blocked people several times by pressing the wrong keystroke combinations.

Nah, she's working now.

It's only occasional, this thing, and I'm not sure why.

There are reasons I don't use the official clients.

At least if an open-source one fucks up, I can (a) attempt to fix it, (b) see if anyone is trying to fix it, or (c) bitch at someone to fix it.
