holy crap
If you are at all squeamish about needles, eyes, tattoos, things touching eyes, fluid in eyes, eyelids being pulled back, or anything of that nature, DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK

I only mention it because the sentence If even the sight of someone being needled with a normal tattoo is enough to make your eyes water, then it might be best to look away now. occurs after the big picture of a man having his eyeball tattooed. Nice, innit?

The only thing actually witty I can say about this morning's earthquake is that I'm just surprised the Public Transport infrastructure didn't collapse due to it being the wrong kind of earthquake. But that's because I'm a Londoner and this is the kind of thing we say.

This afternoon I am off to a science communication workshop. Maybe tomorrow I can drag dopplegl to an event on science blogging, but somehow I doubt it.

I'm not particularly squeamish about eyes or needles, but that still makes me cringe. What if the guy doing the tattoo sneezes, or just happens to twitch at the wrong moment? Aieeeeeee!

Nope, I think my eyeballs are pretty low on the list of parts of me I'd like to have tattooed.

Ooooh, it is at an Apple store. Will there be liquor?
27th-Feb-2008 01:07 pm (UTC)
There can be if you want! There are pubs around!

Time might be vaguely confusing, with bags and stuff, though.

Hmm, very true. I have my suitcase and tux bag. Not fun to lug around. Perhaps we can just have dinner and go to a pub or something?
27th-Feb-2008 01:45 pm (UTC)
Sounds like a plan! Should I mobilise the pub troops?
27th-Feb-2008 02:13 pm (UTC)
Who would the troops be? Are any of them hot gay males?
27th-Feb-2008 04:37 pm (UTC)
"Hot" is debatable.

"Gay" is even more doubtful until they're significantly drunker.

Ah, think I saw that from Warren Ellis a while back. If I remember right, the link from my entry has pics you don't want to see either (although the finished Fremen-blue eye is impressive!)

That is cool looking!

If weird, though.

Yeah, these guys’ criteria seems to be “I can do something stupid, painful, possibly life-threatening and definitely weird? Sign me up!” Makes for great internet, though.

Normally, I click every link. Every link ever. thorne_scratch has tried to break me of this habit through application of - among other things - fanfic in which Duncan McLeod is impregnated by an ape, but she failed, and I still soldiered on. Links have been given to me that turned out, on reflection, to be Dolcett - I shrugged it off and merrily marched on. Once, someone told me that clicking a link would give me the black plague! I clicked it! And subsequently only narrowly pulled through thanks to advanced medicine!

(I clicked another link! It burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp.)

The point I am getting to, though I get to it in a very lingering fashion, is that since my biggest squick of all is anything to do with eyes, you have successfully made a link I have not clicked on and do not intend to click on, and I think that deserves congratulations.

(On the other hand, in the abstract, I can understand that being able to tattoo eyes is totally cool.)

Who thinks to do that?! There is not enough D: to express how awful this it!

The spice must flow!

I like the effect, but there is no way on gods green earth that I would have it done! I'd rather just use contacts.
