Eight Days of Happiness: Day Four
19th-Apr-2009 10:15 am
shiny, thing
1. I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I have booked coach tickets to Leeds for the weekend of the Fantastic Films Weekend in June; Jennie and Mat have offered me their sofa (actually, Mat hasn't, but I'm assuming Jennie's told him by now) and my return ticket on Megabus cost a total of £5.50 including booking fee. So, y'know, if I can't get the weekend off work or realsie I can't afford the ticket, I still haven't lost much.

2. Sarah recced me a fic! And, yes,I don't read fic, I don't care. I'll make an effort for Being Human/Discworld crossovers: Inter-Universe-Travel Incorporated by 7tree_hugger.

3. Love Your Love Handles by Mitch Benn:

4. Another six hours at the Science Museum today!

I have hayfever for the first time. This doesn't make me happy per se, but knowing it's hayfever instead of a huge worm living in my left nostril and making both nose and eye run is comforting.

Ah - when is the Fantastic Film Weekend this year, do you know? I keep periodically checking their website, but it's still only talking about the 2008 one so far as I can see. I'm definitely keen to go in any case, and if you're going to be there as well as miss_s_b and matgb, I shall take that as one of my reasons to be cheerful today!

Ah, thanks! Actually, that may not be very good for me, as I have three deadlines falling on June 15th, and past experience suggests I'll be working madly on the weekend before they're due. But at least I can try and plan around it now. Cheers.

Er - I can't find it if you did.

... I saw this and thought of you...

Awesome Old Lady Scientist.

Enjoy! ♥

You don't actually have to read it.
Sorry to hear about the hayfever, but it sounds much better than a worm. Antihistamines are your friend (or local honey and local nettles if that is more your cup of tea).

This only adds to my regret that I won't be at the FFW this year. :(

You don't read fic? So if I were to challenge you to challenge me to write you a fic of your choosing, you wouldn't read it even if I wrote it?

I still owe you fic!

But, uh. I could set you to writing the Y-virus hitting a particular canon-world of your choice?
