The exma one makes me very upset. Jon had that level of bad exma when he was a baby, with that & his asthma he was barely out of great ormond street for the first 10 years of his life.
He has grown up fine. He has mild exma and moderate ashma, but nothing too bad.
How could the father be so ignorant as to say she would have died anyway.

The one about the french women also really anoys me.
Not as much because of the article, which is sad, but because of the comments & because the blokes making them are guarenteed to post them on any guardian post mentioning anything bad happening to women at the moment.
Its stopping debate, its bluddy irritating, & ok I know they are trolls, but the idea that there are men out there who can't accept that an article about women is about women not men, & keep pointing out that men had it worse/just as bad is sad.
They are really putting me off a lot of good articles on the guardian site at the moment, cuz you just know what you're going to find when you scroll down a bit.

I think the Australian legal system has a fair bit in common with our own, so I suspect that firstly ignorance of the law is no defense, and secondly manslaughter refers to actions (or lack thereof) that unintentionally lead to a death. Therefore this seems like the correct charge, and I'm more than happy for the parents to be imprisoned.

I'm sure they didn't intend for their child to die, but ignoring the advice of several medical professionals in favour of homeopathic nonsense based only on their own unsubstantiated beliefs does in fact make them responsible for their daughter's death.

They didn't intend for their daughter to die, but they still killed her with wilful ignorance.

I agree. I have nothing but compassion for them, but this is the correct charge
