I thought the Ouranosaurus looked suspiciously like a hadrosaur, then saw later in the article that it was in fact such a critter.

Yep, that's one of mine. The phylogenetic distance between Ouranosaurus and Spinosaurus means that either one could be a hump and one a sail without any trouble, as they evolved seperately. As Susannah Maidment and myself believe Ouranosaurus was kind of buffalo like in posture and gait, it's no stretch at all to buy that as a hump.

I'm so friggin' envious!! I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was a kid. Sadly, the closest I ever got to that goal was meeting Dr. Robert Bakker one time. :-( Still, it's been a lifelong interest of mine.

Well, I gave it up to be a teacher :) Science is fine, but talking about science is better.
